I grew up in a small city outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Go Steelers. I got a B.S. in Microbiology at California State University, Long Beach. I worked at NC State Vet School, oncology department, for 4 years. I was hired by Morrisville Fire Department as the second female fire fighter. I have been with Morrisville for 13 years. I went through a very stressful divorce and custody battle a couple years ago. I handled all of the stress pretty good for the first year, then my life came crashing down and I could no longer handle the day to day activities. Just one normal day at work, I broke down and couldn’t stop crying. I took a month off work to get my life back on track. I started to see a psychologist and a psychiatrist, both of whom I still see today. A couple precious souls at my department helped me get through those tough times. I am thankful to have those people in my life when I thought there was no way I could handle everything. I wanted to be part of this great group to hopefully be the HOPE in someone’s life as I needed before. I am great at listening, please call me if you need someone to be there for you.
