Timothy Ballard

I am proud to be a part of a group that is dedicated to the cause to help our fellow peers in a time of need. I was able to travel the world at a young age and I have never witnessed a group of individuals that have been more involved in helping our brothers. After graduation from high school, I joined the military. Being my first time away from home, I had a hard time adapting to not seeing my family everyday. I witnessed friends and others not coping well, so they took their lives instead of finding someone to talk to. As the years passed, I joined the Raleigh fire department in hopes of finding a brotherhood similar to the military. My Raleigh Fire life is shadowed with divorce and a loss of 5 children. My Marriage was tough and took a lot out of both of us, and eventually ended in a difficult divorce. Since then, I have dealt with separation anxiety from being away from my young children, however, I have learned the power of opening up and having a strong support network.  I will be honored to hear situations from my peers. We are here to listen to you.
