Kyle Beard

My name is Kyle Beard and I’ve been in public safety for 14 years first as a firefighter and now as a paramedic in Wake County. I followed in the footsteps of my best friend, my father who was career law enforcement and a part time firefighter. I lost my father to suicide in 2015 and my life took a dark turn and I sought refuge in alcohol and prescription medications. My experience made me want to help others facing hard times and peer support allows me to provide support to others in public safety to walk out of their dark points in life.
